Every two weeks we find ourselves suggesting you check out Geshe Tashi’s new podcast on our sister site, geshetashi.org, because it always seems so relevant for the Foundation of Buddhist Thought Course. This time we’ve decided we really should launch the podcast here! Hopefully it will make listening and commenting more convenient for you.
In this series, Khen Rinpoche Geshe Tashi Tsering, in his typically humorous, warm-hearted and accessible style, chooses topics from His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s Daily Inspirations for discussion and reflection.
In Episode 5, Geshe Tashi reads and discusses His Holiness’s Daily Inspiration for the 27th March. In the light of the current worldwide Coronavirus outbreak, Geshe Tashi has chosen a quotation from His Holiness the Dalai Lama emphasising the “need for a clear awareness of the interdependent nature of nations, of humans and animals and the world.” For those of you coming to the end of the Four Noble Truths module, this is a powerful reminder of the global relevance of Right Thought and Right Intention.
Drawing on his own experience of trying to care for the Sera Mey monks and their families at this time, Geshe Tashi skilfully encourages us to use these Buddhist teachings on interdependence to try and gain some perspective around the feelings of fear and confusion many of us are experiencing.

Dear Geshe Tashi,
thank you so much for your words, they are very helpful, and they open the mind for a wide viwe.
I´m wondering if any donation to the monastery would be helpful? and if so, where could I make it.
Best whishes for your health and safety, and for all the other beings.
