       “These two mental qualities–having less desire and being content–will help you minimise distractions and give more time to do your meditation.  Strong desire will lead to conceptual thoughts, emotions, and so forth, that will create activities that take up time, leaving less time to meditate.  Such a busy life also causes mental wandering when you do try to meditate…Having ethical conduct is also very helpful.”

      Having reflected on these in your meditation, please share your thoughts on the advantages for your practice in desiring less and being content with what you have.  Have you thought of any changes you might make and how you could put them into practice?
