      Welcome back!

How was your break?  We’d love to hear anything you’d like to share.

In discussing the importance of studying the mind, Geshe Tashi says:

The essence of Buddhism is transforming our current mind into compassion and wisdom.  The reason there’s a gap between our compassion and action is that our compassion isn’t strong enough.  If our compassion is strong enough, it will push us to act.

Have you felt a ‘gap’ between your compassion and action?  If so, how will studying the mind help rectify this? Do you agree that if your compassion were stronger, it would bring action?  Can you think of instances when your compassion has been strong enough to trigger action?  What do you think were the conditions that helped support this strong compassion?
