On page 56 of the course book, Geshe Tashi discusses extreme view, view of superiority, views that regard unsatisfactory moral and spiritual disciplines as supreme, and mistaken views (believing non-existent things to exist or believing that existing things don’t exist.) In this week’s video he says:
“When views are formed through rational thinking, they are not that easy to dismantle, because our minds get caught up in that kind of thinking.”
Can you identify any afflicted views that you hold that have been formed through rational thinking? Do you find them difficult to recognise and dismantle?
