Template: Two Truths Week 5 Discussion

When looking at specifically and generally characterised phenomena, Geshe Tashi says, “What’s helpful here is for us to try to separate the input from thoughts and language on the one hand, and what’s real as seen by direct perception on the other hand.”  He encourages us to “try to see the power of language and thought and the weakness of our perception.”

How do you see the interaction of concepts and direct perceptions shaping the things you experience?  What are the implications for you?  How clearly do you feel you can separate out these two strands?  What kind of feelings come up as a result of this investigation?
